Moderator: “So you spoke about the dangers of contraception. Can you talk about why contraceptives are dangerous?”
Santorum: “What we are seeing is a problem in our culture with respect to children being raised by children, children being raised out of wedlock, and the economic impact and the impact on society.”

I think he’s confused.

I was in the gym yesterday on the elliptical and I decided to plug in my headphones and watch this Republican debate of fools.
First thing I noticed was that none of them - not one of them - could answer their questions directly without adding a load of bullshit. It’s not hard - the moderator asks you a question and you answer it. Instead, they do all this circumventing and they’re saying all of these words but they’re saying nothing. It is so frustrating. And a lot of politicians, liberal and conservative, do these things.
Anyway, when Santorum was asked this question, I thought “Oh good. Let’s see how he’s going to get out of this one. Let’s see how he makes contraceptives sound so dangerous.”
I’m not sure if he noticed, but he basically just gave a contradiction to his own argument.
Children are raising children, Rick? Well then why don’t you remove your sanctimonious Bible out of your ass and realize that KIDS ARE GOING TO HAVE SEX WHETHER OR NOT YOU SHOVE RELIGIOUS VALUES DOWN THEIR THROAT. And so, rather than not supporting funding for Planned Parenthood and other places that help kids like 16 year old Molly and her 18 year old Bobby stay kids and not parents, why don’t you make some educational programs for the advocation of safe sex?
I just don’t understand what’s going on in this country anymore.
